The Library considers donations based on the same criteria as for purchased materials, which may include the need for a local copy, space restrictions, and duplication of content held in other formats. Duplicates may also be used to replace missing or damaged copies. If your proposed donation includes multiple titles, please email a list in advance that includes: title, author, and imprint to nylibrary@sia.edu. This enables us to search our holdings to identify needed titles prior to physical receipt.

Please note:

• The Library is not able to guarantee that all donated materials will be added to its collections and it may discard or sell some donated items. 
• Unfortunately, book donations are not considered tax-deductible therefore the library does not provide an acknowledgement letter.
