What help is available for dissertations and other assignments?

The librarians can provide help with:

1. finding resources on your topic 

2. referencing and citations To see some online resources for reference and citation formatting, click here.

3. using specific resources - students are welcome to come in for 1-to-1 demonstrations of different resources such as price databases, referencing software, and our different catalogues. Please email beforehand and we will arrange a convenient time for you.

4. 1-to-1 dissertation research sessions - we offer  dissertation sessions on your topic. Once your topic is approved, please download the form (at the end of this answer) and email it to library@sia.edu. We can then meet with you on a 1-to-1 basis to discuss your research topic, research strategies, and resources

5. writing academic English: 1-to-1 sessions are available: again, please email to arrange
