The book catalogue searches resources kept in physical form in the library - books, dissertations, sales catalogues, DVDs etc.

Summon searches both physical and online resources.

If you are looking for a particular book, sales catalogue or SIA London dissertation, then the book catalogue is often quicker. However it will not find e-books or online SIA New York dissertations.

Summon often holds more information about our books, but for some titles the book catalogue has fuller records.  So to make a comprehensive search for books on a particular topic, it's sometimes necessary to search in both places.

Go to the book catalogue to view and renew your loans.

Some online resources are not included in Summon and need to be searched separately - see a list of these.
